Peg Agnos, Legislative Director, works with the General Assembly, Illinois State Board of Education and the Federal Department of Education on issues impacting public schools in DuPage, Kane, Will and south suburban Cook County.   She provides grassroots training to school board members, administrators and parent volunteers to enhance their involvement in the legislative process. 

In her role she has led the effort to develop several studies including: Consideration of Vouchers and Tax Credits and The Property Tax Cap Study - Impact on the Schools in DuPage County.   Peg was a member of the work group that negotiated and passed Senate Bill 7, major school reform legislation that has become a national model for change. Peg is a member of the collaborative work group that has been working to develop a school funding reform formula.

  • Skokie School District 69, Past President and member Board of Education

  • Niles Township Legislative Coalition, founding member

  • Village of Morton Grove, Community Relations Committee

Peg and her husband Lou live in Palatine, Illinois and enjoy spending time with their 4 grandchildren.
